BIG WHEEL RACE – New Day (Opening Day SATURDAY!)
This year the Big Wheel Race will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Any boy or girl may enter between the ages of 1 through 8. No registration fee is required, but remember to bring your bike helmet with you to the grounds. Registration is at 1 pm on the Dance Floor. The big wheels are supplied by the Fair Association.
Helmets and shoes that cover the feet completely are required (sneakers, boots, or similar type footwear, no sandals will be permitted). Any other safety equipment parents deem necessary is recommended as the children will be racing on asphalt.
The Race Course will be set up with plastic cones and straw bales as racing lanes for the racers. The race will be on a timed basis-with one racer on the track at a time along with his ‘pit crew members’ to cheer him/her on.
Each racer will be competing against the clock. The one with the fastest time will win in each age category. In the case of a tie we will have run-offs. The Big Wheel Race is a lot of fun for the little ones as well as for the legionnaires who run the event and the family and friends of the racers. Be sure you stay in the area if you are a first place winner as a group picture will be taken following the last heat.
Awards include medals for 1st thru 3rd place and ribbons to 5th placeAll participants will receive a ribbon, ice cream coupon and candy courtesy of the Fair Association and flags, sponsored by The American Legion, Carl D. Archer Post 528 of White Township.
YOUTH PEDAL TRACTOR OBSTACLE COURSE
The Youth Pedal Tractor Obstacle Course is for 4 to 8 year olds, residing in Warren County. There will be a race on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 and Friday, August 3, at 1:30 pm, in the Main Arena. A course is set up with hay bales and cones and the ‘youth tractor drivers’ pedal through the course and the one in each age category with the fastest time wins. The Farmers’ Fair provides the John Deere pedal tractor for the competition. Awards for the event include trophies and ribbons, sponsored by American Crop Insurance.
KIDDIE PEDAL PULL CONTEST

The Kiddie Pedal Pull begins at 12 noon, Saturday, August 4, 2012 (closing day) in the Livestock Show Building. Your child must be signed up at least 1 hour before the event. Forms are available in the Fair office throughout the week of our Fair. This has grown to be one of our more popular children's events with more than 100 participants competing for those first place blue ribbons and trophies sponsored by Bilyk Farms in White Township. Any boy or girl who resides in New Jersey from age 2 through 10 may participate.
The tractor and sled is almost like Daddy's tractor pull, except the little ones provide the horsepower or in this case, pedal power. A sled is attached to the back of the tractor and weights are placed on it. Each participant has to pull the weighted sled a certain distance. If he or she completes their pull, more weight is added until a winner is chosen by the most weight pulled the longest distance. Parents are allowed in the pulling area only when it is their child's turn.
The Fair Association provides the tractor and ribbons for first through fifth place. Thanks to Nancy and Jenny Bilyk, Nancy & Wally Godfrey, Fran & Wayne McCole, show committee members for volunteering their time and efforts to run this event and make it a great experience for all involved.

The Warren County Farmers' Fair Board of Directors and many voluneers were saddened at the passing of teacher, colleague and friend, Harry Schnieber on March 29, 2010.
