Welcome
to the 74th Annual
Warren County Farmers Fair,
featuring the
11th annual Hot Air Balloon Festival, NJ.
What started as a gathering of farmers, mechanics and manufacturers in 1859, evolved into the incorporation of the Warren County Farmers' Fair in 1937, and more recently mushroomed into an annual event that truly has something for everyone. Where else can you thrill to a hot air balloon ride, eat cotton candy on a carnival midway, watch traditional craftsmen at work, get down-and-dirty in a Mud Bog competition, and cheer your neighbor on in a tractor pull... all in the same place? Yes, the Farmers' Fair, featuring one of New Jerseys' popular Hot Air Balloon Festival is truly a family affair.
Let
the fun begin...
The Fair officially opens at 8 AM on Sunday, July 31, and runs
through Saturday, August 6, 2011.
Sunday, July 31, Harmony Speedway Historical Society presents Dirt Track Heroes. Meet legends like Sam Beavers and Carl Van Horn. See original rebuild cars that used to run the race track in Harmony and other dirt tracks. Memoribila, photos and other stock cars will be on display.
Welcome back to the 11th Annual Hot
Air Balloon Festival in Warren County New Jersey! Balloon
launches, balloon rides, and tethered rides. There will be a mass balloon launches, tethered rides and a walk-a-bout balloon EVERY NIGHT!. We will also have the "monster balloon" either tethered or flying as the hare balloon each night ot the fair. (All balloon
activity weather permitting.) This NJ Hot Air Balloon Festival show
is included in one low admission price to the Fair! Wednesday night we will have the Bicycle Balloon Race.
This County Fair has grown to be "The Ultimate Twofer" – two events for the price of one. If you are wondering how a Farmers' Fair and a Balloon Festival end up coming together, I guess you can say farm animals and ballooning go way back. Click here for a history of ballooning.
Also welcome back the 14th Annual Traditional Arts Expo. Return to the days when baskets were handmade, and spinning was a daily household chore. Local traditional artists from area Guilds will demonstrate their work.
Sorry ladies, Ryan Pelton will not be performing this year at the Fair.
Daily Farm Events & Exhibits give everyone the opportunity to savor the bounty of Warren County's fine agricultural community. The Open Horse Show, pony rides, baking & canning exhibits, 4-H/FFA exhibits... can't you just taste Grandma's apple pie right now?
Old Cars, Antique Cars and Fast Cars will plentiful at the 2011 Fair.
Food and Entertainment to satisfy every possible taste. Stroll the fun-packed Fairgrounds and taste the many delicious flavors of the Fair. From farm-fresh ice cream to strawberry shortcake, just bring a big appetite and enjoy it all!
